MOOAA
무아 · Seoul · Where to eat
MOOAA is a reservation-only kaiseki restaurant located on Garosu Street of Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Based on seasonal ingredients from Korea and Japan, the restaurant incorporates the flow of the 24 solar terms and seasonal changes into its course menus. It operates by naturally adjusting one or two items in the course every 7 to 10 days, depending on ingredient availability and seasonal shifts. The signature “Hassun” course is characterized by its visual representation of the seasonal landscape, featuring an arrangement of various seasonal dishes, the chef’s original tableware and art objects, and fresh seasonal flowers and plants all on a single platter. The restaurant features an open counter where guests can watch the cooking process up close, and it also hosts the “Craft Archive” exhibition, which showcases works by craft artists within the space. The exhibition rotates approximately every two months to introduce new artists and their works. Guests can enjoy kaiseki courses for both lunch and dinner, and staff are available to provide information about the courses and ingredients.
