The army's II Corps and Chuncheon City mark the Battle of Chuncheon, fought in the opening days of the Korean War, with a three-day festival from 9 to 11 October at the city's waterside park. Alongside the commemoration there are performances and exhibitions, military-equipment displays you can climb on, and public participation programmes, pitched at families. Free.
