About

Korea's largest fireworks display, fired over the water at Gwangalli with the Gwangan Bridge itself as part of the set — the bridge's lighting rig is choreographed into the show alongside the pyrotechnics and a music score. It began in 2005 as a celebration for the APEC summit held in Busan and is now in its 21st year, drawing crowds well into the hundreds of thousands. Viewing spreads along Gwangalli Beach, across to Haeundae and around Igidae. Paid seating is sold for the main viewing areas; the beach fills early, so arrive hours ahead or watch from Igidae for a wider angle.
