About
Jeong Mong-ju, known by his pen name Poeun, was the Goryeo scholar-statesman whose loyalty to the fallen dynasty made him one of the great moral figures of Korean history. The 22nd Poeun Cultural Festival, on 10 and 11 October 2026 at his tomb in Mohyeon, Yongin, marks 620 years since his remains were moved here. It opens with a procession re-enacting the reburial and a memorial rite, followed by a ceremony, performances, Yongin's folk arts festival and a concert by winners of a national youth gugak competition. Children can sit a mock royal civil-service exam, and there are traditional-culture activities, food trucks and a local farm market
Free.
