Jun Seba, who recorded as Nujabes, died in 2010, but his catalogue has only grown since — the Samurai Champloo soundtracks and albums like 'Metaphorical Music' are the origin point for most of what gets filed under lo-fi hip hop today. This is a live ensemble performing that material with real instruments rather than a DJ set, which is a genuinely different experience from the records.
