About
Yeonsan handles more than 40 per cent of the jujubes sold in Korea — the small red date-like fruit used in tea, samgyetang and traditional medicine — and this autumn festival is built around buying them at source. Traders from Yeonsan, Beolgok, Yangchon and neighbouring Unju built the town's reputation by holding back their best fruit for buyers who came in person, and that is still the draw: fresh jujubes below market price, plus stalls, events and performances around Yeonsan Station. Free.
