Trace: A Conversation of Surfaces

A two-person show by Yu Hui and the German sculptor Dietrich Klinge, running 9–30 September. Neither artist erases the marks their tools leave: Yu pushes paint across the surface with a squeegee, Klinge cuts into wood with saw and chisel. What remains in the pushed and carved areas is the movement of the body and the time caught in it. Held in a converted cinema in Gohan, a former coal-mining town in the Gangwon mountains. Free.
