Surim New Wave 2026: Kim Hyo-yeong — A Sidelong Gaze
Oct 22, 2026 · 서울, 동대문구
Part of Surim New Wave, a series that commissions younger Korean traditional musicians to make new work rather than perform the repertoire. Kim Hyo-yeong plays the geomungo, the six-stringed zither struck with a bamboo stick — the deepest-voiced of the Korean string instruments and historically the scholar's instrument.
