Lee Daecheon: The Language of Landscape
Sep 30, 2026 – Oct 27, 2026 · Daegu, Suseong-gu
Lee Daecheon studied painting in Korea and in Dresden and Berlin, and has worked in Germany for more than twenty years. Starting from East Asian landscape painting, he combines the spirit of traditional Korean painting with a contemporary visual language in what he calls ‘drawing the world’: layered landscapes where abstraction and figuration, memory and reality overlap. They depict no particular place, but a world of constantly changing connections that each viewer reads through their own memories.
