Goo Gijeong: Clearview Mechanism

The first Gana Art solo show by Goo Gijeong (b. 1990), who uses photography, graphics, video and installation to make familiar natural scenes strange through technology. Twelve works expose the conditions behind an image: a transparent steel frame showing the LED boards and renderings that make a picture, real plants set beside their digital renderings, and landscapes re-photographed and transformed again and again until they drift far from the original. A thoughtful show about how what we see as reality is made.
